With a new year soon to begin I present to you the famous excel spreadsheet of advance statistics. There are a few new things this year.
- The production of a player has been extended to incorporate the last three years, thus giving a glimpse as to whether this player is on the rise or slowly descending into what we call “The Shawyun Pit of Awfulness”
- The players average value for each of the last three seasons has also been calculated to give a sense of whether the player is under or over achieving hopefully this will prevent GM’s from feeling the dreaded Did-I-Actually-Keep-Hartnell moment.
- There is some very clever (if i do say so myself) referencing incorporated in the spread sheet this year so if you don’t understand what’s going on, ask and i’ll try to explain it. There are a lot of hidden columns that do the calculations so if you want to see what’s going on just un-hide them.
- Any number in Grey is a player that has only played two seasons, and numbers in white are players that have only played one season.
- Any player with an asterik beside their name (ex. Sheldon Souray) has missed a full year within the last three years. So their stats are based on the last three seasons they actually played and not necessarily the years 2011, 2012, 2013.
- All GM’s please go through your teams and make sure:
- Your rosters are correct
- The year-by-year values are the same in columns BC and BM
- Columns (BA*.1)+(BB*.3)+(BC*.6) equals column CA
I’ve looked through it thoroughly once but i may have missed some stuff. Please tell me if you find any mistakes and i’ll fix it. Enjoy.
