Power Rankings:

1. Mr. Momentum – LM 2

MM climbs to the top of the rankings this month on the heels of a 7-2 thrashing of rival GIWI. MM has lost only one matchup this season and despite being second in the standings they are finding ways to win. The battle between MM and GIWI should rage all season

2.  Getting Iggy With It – LM 1

GIWI remains on top of the standings, a spot they have occupied for most of the season. Despite a big loss against MM they had 6-3, 7-2, 7-0, and 8-0 wins sandwiching that matchup. GIWI looks like a surprising Hoover contender and more than halfway through the season they look to have a playoff spot sewn up.

3. Stammer Time – LM 6

Following a historic winning streak last season and a strong start to this one, ST surprisingly saw themselves losers of 8 straight matchups before finally breaking the streak with a 4-4 tie against MM. After following that up with a 7-2 beatdown of OR perhaps ST is back on track. Currently battling for the last playoff spot, the inconsistent play of OR and firesale of GT leave them with a decent chance of making the playoffs despite the lengthy slide.

4. Girouxsome Twosome – LM 3

Once considered a permanent fixture as a Hoover Bowl contender, GM Mark Goodman decided to blow up the core of his roster, sending Tavares, Malkin, Price, and Pietrangelo packing. Whether the deal works out in the long term remains to be seen however GT looks to be less of a threat in the short term.

5. Chance of Fleury’s – LM 4

Despite still being on the losing end of matchups more often than winning, CoF is showing signs of life after spending 2013 in the perpetual basement. CoF’s most recent matchups against the two closest teams to them in the standings (OR and ST) resulted in victories. Add that to being incredibly close to handing MM their second loss of the season and CoF should be excitd for the future.

6. Optimus Reim – LM 5

After ST’s slide saw OR pull into a tie with them for a playoff spot, last weeks matchup between the two teams held extra importance. Unfortunately for GM Naveed Mazloum his team was not up to the task as they were dismantled 7-2. The loss sees them back out of the playoff picture and adds questions as to the future of this team.
