And we’re down to the final two! For all the marbles! There will be a first time Hoover Bowl champion for the third year in a row. Will it be the heavy favourite Stammer Time, fresh off an 7-2 beatdown of GT. With the semi-final win Stammer Time avenged last years semifinal loss and pushed its record this season to a spectacular 11 wins in 12 weeks. By beating OR in both matchups in the regular season and having a heavy advantage in category stats, the 2013 Hoover Bowl could be considered theirs to lose. On the other hand Optimus Reim was supposed to lose last week too. Instead they pulled out an incredibly nail-biting 6-2 win over Mr. Momentum that saw OR within 4 minutes of losing in two separate games. On the brink of losing, a Minnesota goal on Sergei Bobrovsky with 3:15 forced MM to play Pekka Rinne on Sunday and in that game it once again came to the brink before a Franzen goal with 2:59 to play ended the dream for GM Donesh Mazloum and propelled the younger Mazloum into the finals. Will it be the cinderella story or the regular season juggernaught. Should be epic.
