Girouxsome Twosome looks to lose one

Erik Karlsson of the Ottawa Senators left Wednesday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins with what looked to be cut to his lower left leg behind the guard of the skate that protects the Achilles tendon.  Ottawa’s Norris winner could not bare weight on the leg while leaving the ice and looked to be in great discomfort.  Reports say he has suffered a lacerated Achilles tendon, and will undergo surgery to repair it.

The incident occurred late in the second period when him and Penguin forward Matt Cooke went into the side boards.  Although it does not appear to us at FH365 to be an act of malice by Cooke, the debate will go on as long as a star player is lost in such a way.
