Here’s a little side bet our GMs have taken on for the 2012-13 season. Winner takes home the undecided prize. Who’s the champ? Who made picks with a coin?
The scoring goes as follows:
15 points for each team correctly ranked at the end of the year. If a team is incorrectly ranked, the difference in the rankings is subtracted from the 15 points. (maximum of 240 points)
eg. If WSH is predicted to finish fifth in the east, but finishes third, 13 points are awarded.
eg. If CGY is predicted to finish seventh in the west, but finishes fifteenth, 7 points are awarded.
1 point for picking the correct award winner (maximum of 9 points)
1 point for correctly choosing the division champions (maximum of 6 points)
1 point for correctly choosing the conference season champions (maximum of 2 points)
1 point for correctly choosing the president’s trophy winner
